Chairman & Chief Executive Officer

Alexander Mirza is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of HospitalitySoul.com, whose mission is to be the world’s leading hospitality talent marketplace. Mirza has over 20 years of experience in  senior executive roles in the largest hospitality and leisure companies and as an entrepreneur.

He began his career in management consulting firms including Deloitte as a partner at Accenture where he advised CEOs of Fortune 500 companies with large customer service operations including restaurant chains, airlines and ecommerce companies.

After management consulting, Mirza joined Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide as Head of Strategic Planning, reporting to the CFO and CEO. While at Starwood he designed and implement customer service related initiatives to reinvent the Sheraton hotel brand and service innovation initiatives for the Westin and W hotel brands.

He was subsequently SVP of Corporate Development at Hilton Worldwide, where he was a member of the senior operating team, reporting to the Global President and COO. At Hilton, his responsibilities included overseeing a $2 billion USD food and beverage business, deploying over $100 million in capital and launching the Waldorf Astoria luxury brand.

In 2013, After a year-long stint as International President on SBE’s management team reporting to Chairman Sam Nazarian, Mirza co-founded Cachet Hospitality in Shanghai and spent the next 5 years as CEO and grew the  company to  15 properties open/under development in China, Thailand, the U.S. and Mexico. Under his leadership, Cachet was recognized as “Asia’s up and coming management team” with women representing over 50% of the executive team, and, won global design awards in only its 4th year of operations.

Mirza has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Masters degree in international relations and a 1st class Bachelors degree with distinction from Queen’s University at Kingston, Canada where he was an Aga Khan Foundation scholar.
